I'm Still Alive
This picture was posted on Facebook to show the world I was still alive and moving forward with my life. I quoted Pearl Jam's song "I'm still alive". I watched the Pinkpop festival video on youtube numerous times while visiting Joy in San Diego. No other words were necessary. Those that new my plight saw that I could still smile even though I had been destroyed.
Family = Blessing
I describe in Chapter 7 "Two F-Bombs" how I did not recognize the girl starring back in the mirror. Returning from San Diego to having family in town proved to be an amazing blessing. This photo was snapped after I returned from the restroom looking at a stranger in the mirror. I shook my head to snap back to reality.
The Weekend
After our marriage enrichment weekend, we had the whole day too spend in Philly. We took a stroll at an iconic battle field, saw the Rocky statue, ran up the steps of the Library, drank a beer in a very old pub, and devoured a Philly cheesesteak. When we were waiting for our flight at the airport we found a licensed Gottman counselor and we were on the road to recovery. Marriage Dynamics was the spring board we needed. After the weekend we felt hope!

VIVA Las Vegas
We snapped this photo and sent it to Jackie. We tagged "We would rather spend $150 in Las Vegas than in your therapy space." It was a short trip but needed.
Discovering Your a Bad Ass
Jackie had told me many times while laughing at something I said that I was such a Bad Ass. I would dismiss the comment because I didn't fully understand what she meant. Then she suggested I buy a book by Brene' Brown. After reading this book it was definately confirmed that I am about as Bad Ass as you can get! I stand in my truth and I am unafraid to share my painful story. We needd more people willing to be vulnerable and share our stories for the generations to come!
